The Paris Apartment

We stayed in a beautiful apartment in the 3rd arrondissement through air BNB  – Our host was Nicole and Virgie who were both so kind and welcoming.  The apartment was way beyond our expectations, spacious and full of character with beautiful art and a feeling of home for the kids.  Thank you Nicole and Virige

the Eiffel Tower

The Louvre

We spent a lovely day at the SacréCœur – the kid’s highlight was climbing the 300 steps to the top.  As per Scotts regular routine everything is followed up with Gelato.

A Beautiful Town

Here we stayed in the old town, where cars are prohibited and breakfast includes cappuccino, croissants, and wine.  We were lucky to be there for Bastille Day as well as the world cup final, where we hid in our apartment to secretly cheer on Croatia.  We however happy that France won and enjoyed being there for the celebrations.

Jack Turns 14

For Jack’s birthday we took a day trip to Cannes where we had a “private showing” being the only ones in the theatre, for The Rock’s five star feature “Skyscraper”.  This was followed by cruising the super yachts and getting stuck in a torrential rainstorm which served as a great reason to duck into a cafe for hot chocolate and wine.  Then it was back to Antibes for a great diner out.

Scott Goes Griswald

Scotts Grisswald moment: We planned to go to Biot which was a 2 min train away for a dip in the Aquasplash Water Park.  We took the wrong train and ended up 30 minutes away in Nice. We then waited for a return train for 45 minutes which was  then  delayed for another 45 minutes thus a 2 min journey took us almost three hours.  This was followed by 45 minute line ups for rides – which the kids loved.  At the end of the day We waited in 45 minute lines at the park, but the kids were having a blast.  At the end of the day Scott waited in line for another 30 minutes to order food from the concession.  When he got the to fornt of the line he was informedd they were no longer serving hot food……..then came his Grisswald moment – given the opportunity he would have punched Marty the Moose in the head.
