KUALA LUMPUR

WHERE WE CAME TOGETHER. Last August, the Mathias family embarked on a similar journey. Leanne, a good friend of mine from school, and her family left Vancouver in August and headed south to start their one year world adventure. While we had hoped to meet up along the way, we weren't sure of we could swing it. However, after we all agreed to some small detours and alterations in timelines we were able to meet up for a few days in Kuala Lumpur. It was great to swap stories, for the kids to meet new friends and to share in some "family time".

Planned excursions included the Batu caves, the Petronas towers and a wonderful lunch hosted by Leelin, Annette and family. Along the routes we found some interesting sights, food and markets. It was great to just slow down and hang out for a few days. For me it was amazing to sit back and let Steve take over the reins in planning and executing the day. Thanks Steve.
